September 13th and 14th

A look at what we will be studying this week...........
  • We will be working this week on the department of Bay Islands.  We will use the information that is being brought in and organize ourselves into groups to present the project on a poster board.  The projects will be displayed outside our door in preparation for Fiesta Catracha on October 1st.
Homework for the week..........

  • The only homework for Monday night will be to do the Reading Calendar.  Please continue to read Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as well.
A Few Other Things............
  • Progress Reports went home today for those students who have at least one A- on a graded paper.  Please sign and return those on Monday, September 13th.
  • Remind that you child needs to do research this weekend and bring in the information on MONDAY so we can begin our class projects.  Please see the handout in the homework folder for what your child is responsible for.  Please send in any other items that apply to the Bay Islands that we can display as well.
  • The students have been enjoying Ms. Valladares reading them books from the author, Robert Munsch.  As promised to the students, here is his website:  http://www.robertmunsch.com/
  • As a class we published our first book based on the book by Margaret Wise Brown The Important Book.   The book is so special to the students, they are each taking a turn to bring it home and share with you.  Please when it is your night read the book and enjoy the hard work they put into their page.  We have a comments page at the back, we would love for you to write a comment.  It is important that when it is your night that you return the book the very next day so the next child can have their turn.
  • I hope you have a wonderful vacation!  For me, I am off to Roatan!
