- In Language Arts we will be working on Homonyms and using them correctly. We will also discuss the author's purpose for writing.
- In Math we will work on Chapter 14. We will be adding and subtracting three digits numbers with regrouping.
- In Science we will continue with our unit on Animals. We will be looking at Chapter 3 and discussing food chains.

Spelling Words: ant, aunt, ate, eight, bear, bare, be, bee, there, their
Monday- Read for 15 minutes. Students will use 8 of their spelling words in sentences.
Tuesday - Read for 15 minutes. Math WB 112 and 113
Wednesday - Read for 15 minutes. Math WB 114.
Thursday - Read for 15 minutes. Math WB 115
A Few Other Things.................
- Please make sure your child brings in a water bottle each day.
- Please leave the reading calendar in the folder. We check EVERY Monday.
- We are out of kleenexes again! Please consider picking up an extra box to donate to the class the next time you are out shopping.
- Congratulations to our Musical Performers on a wonderful performance: Cristiana, Lizza Fernanda, Adriana, Emonee, Carla, Natalia S. Natalia R., Ana Mercedes, Valentina, and Isabella.
- There will be an etiquette club lunch on Tuesday for Valeria, Natalia R., Crisitina, Joseph, and Natalia S.
- Just a reminder that I will be out of school on Monday afternoon (May 9th) and I will return on Tuesday morning (May 17th).
- The summer reading English books are on sale at Metro Media. The Spanish summer reading books will arrive at Metro Media in June. You will need to buy the books for Second Grade.
